Support We the People:
The Citizen & The Constitution

American democracy has always relied on an informed and engaged citizenry—but today, too many students and adults lack a basic understanding of our Constitution, our founding principles, and the ongoing struggle to live up to them. The stakes couldn’t be higher.

At Humanities North Dakota, we refuse to accept this crisis as inevitable. With your support, we can equip teachers, students, and lifelong learners with the knowledge and skills to safeguard democracy for generations to come.

Your donation will:
-
Empower educators by funding middle and high school social studies teachers to attend our Summer Teacher Institute, where they gain tools to teach the Constitution and civic engagement in transformative ways.
-
Expand access to in-person and online civics classes for adults, ensuring that all citizens—young and old—understand their rights and responsibilities.
-
Bring history to life through compelling living history presentations of the Framers of the Constitution and the courageous Americans who have fought to hold our nation accountable to its founding ideals

Hope is not lost. We see it in every teacher who leaves our institute inspired. We hear it in the voices of adults who finally grasp the power of civic participation. And we feel it in the energy of students who realize that democracy is not a spectator sport—it’s theirs to shape.

Your gift today will help us reach more people, change more lives, and strengthen our democracy at its core!
