About Our Endowment Fund
We established an endowment fund specifically for our organization at the North Dakota Community Foundation (NDCF) in 2018 to provide long-term support for our programs and mission. The name of the endowment fund is "Humanities North Dakota Endowment Fund" - a permanent agency endowment fund administered by NDCF.
An endowment fund is a permanent fund. The principle in the fund is never spent. Instead,the interest earned on the fund is available every year to provide resources for our projects and programs.
Our endowment fund will grow over time through other donations and gifts. Every year, it will provide financial assistance to our mission. In time, we hope the fund will grow large enough to become a substantial part of our annual budget so that we do not have to dedicate as many resources to fundraising in order to provide our programming.

Anonymous Gifts: Regardless of the type of gift, requests for anonymity will always be honored. Please contact NDCF directly (701.222.8349) if you wish to make an anonymous gift.
Benefits to Our Donors
There are some unique benefits to donating to a qualified ND endowment fund. The most significant one is the 40 percent ND State Tax Credit.
Individuals that donate a minimum of $5,000 and businesses that donate any amount up to $50,000 in one calendar year to the Humanities ND Endowment Fund may be eligible for an ND 40 percent State Tax Credit on their gift, up to $10,000 in credit.
